Creative Arts at St Kieran’s includes Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama. The syllabus aims to encourage a life-long appreciation of the arts in your child.
At St Kieran’s we have a specialist creative arts teacher who gives each K-6 class one session a week in the Dance, Drama and Music components of the syllabus. Grade teachers focus on the Visual Arts component in the classroom.
Stage 3 students participate in the annual school musical, with students able to audition for key singing, dance and acting roles. Students in Stage 2 and 3 can join the optional Song Club which performs at the musical and other events.
St Kieran’s offers students in Years 3-6 the opportunity to join in the Junior or Senior Ensemble. Both ensembles take part in local music festivals and competitions and perform for residents in nearby nursing homes. This is one of the many extra-curricular opportunities students have at St Kieran’s.
