A diverse curriculum to inspire lifelong learning
Education at St Kieran’s gives your child a holistic foundation for lifelong learning. Classes from K-6 are empowered with academic, physical, spiritual, emotional and social skills and knowledge to maximise their potential.
Highly experienced teachers are hand chosen by our principal for their ability to meet the needs of students in all class sizes.
Our curriculum is based on the syllabuses of the NSW Education Standards Authority and the Religious Education Syllabus of the Diocese of Broken Bay. It includes these Key Learning Areas:
Human Society and its Environment
Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
Our curriculum gives your child a well-rounded basis for all that they will learn in high school. St Kieran’s graduates are given preferred entry to some of the most sought-after independent and Catholic secondary schools on the northern beaches, including Mater Maria Catholic College, St Paul’s Catholic College, St Augustine’s College and Stella Maris College.
St Kieran’s Year 5 and 6 students have the advantage of learning together in a flexible space. It caters for individual learning styles while developing the learning principles of:
- Collaboration
- Student ownership
- Creativity
- Challenge
- Critical thinking
These are vital skills in preparing for the transition to secondary school and instilling a more independent approach to learning.
Students in all years can choose to participate in a range of enriching extra-curricular activities that offer a balanced learning experience.
